We are cruising April 3rd on Navigator of the Seas....can you take alcohol on board? We took beer on Carnival and the room steward actually iced it for us.

  1. Why would you want to spend all that money and time... and miss half of it in a drunken fog???

  2. We have carried alcohol on every cruise w/ RCI.  Pack it in your checked luggage and pack it good. Do not take it in glass becuz u run the risk of it breaking.  We have never had a problem, even buying it in port.  It's always nice to just go back to ur room, refill ur cup and be on ur way!  The funny thing we notice is we don't drink as much as we think we are! So we always come back w/ some!

  3. The official policy is No.  You can try to smuggle it on board, but if they find it they will take it, and you may get in trouble.

  4. I'm not aware of any cruise lines that allow you to bring booze on board. Carnival's website says they can confiscate it if they find it, and that cruisers aren't to bring their own (other than a bottle or two of wine). Celebrity's website implies they might prohibit you from boarding if they find booze in your luggage.

Check RC's website and see what it says. Although many people do smuggle booze on board cruise ships, it's an "at your own risk" endeavor.

  5. Nope...thats how they make their money.......you could get tossed off...

  6. You can sneak it on in your checked in luggage.  Do not try to carry it on the ship.   Works for us everytime.
