I am 7 weeks pregnant and have been suffering with occassional bouts of diarrhea, which I would get more than enough when I wasn't pregnant too. I would normally take some Pepto, but now that I'm pregnant, is there anything safe to take to treat it?

  1. Eat a couple of bananas.  They should help.  Stay away from broccoli, apple juice, chocolate, coffee and, cabbage.  Those foods are a good laxatives-I don't think you want that.

  2. i found eating potatoes and bread seemed to help

  3. I would ask your doctor if they are OK with you taking Imodium. It is safe to take while breastfeeding, as it pretty much just stays in the gut and does it's job.

  4. Do not take pepto.  I had some runs in my first trimester too.  Get some fiber powder and mix it into your normal drinks and foods.  Try to eat more whole grains.
