Can you take dry food and tin cans in your suitcase when going on a airplane?

I am going on holiday and would like to be able to take my own food such as packets of pasta and rice and crisps and i need to know whether i can take it on the airplane.

  1. You can take both dry food and tin cans in your checked luggage. As long as it doesn't go over the weight limit you can put anything you want in there except aerosol cans (because they explode) and dangerous substances. You can also take dry food in your hand luggage, you may also be able to take canned food in your hand luggage depending on how much it weighs and how strict the airport is. Check your airline's baggage policy for specific things you can and can't take, and for how much is the maximum that your baggage can weigh. It varies by airline so I suggest you look at their website.


  2. Both are fine, but can't you buy them at your destination?

  3. Dry food yes like u can put it in the suitcase not ur hand luggage.  I know cause I had taken them all the time.  But I doubt tin cans.
