Can you take good pictures of meteors with a digital camera?

If so, how can I take a good picture with my Sony supersteady shot (DSC-W300)? Thanks.

  1. It's hard to capture meteors on a camera, but if you must It probably needs to be a wide angle lens, and the slowest shutter speed you can go to. Good luck, I hope you have great success!!


  2. You can if it has a manual mode that will let you set the aperture to F/5.6 and the shutter to stay open about 10 to 20 minutes.

    You will need a tripod no matter what kind of "stabilization" your camera has.
