I have a Lumix DMC-FS3. Probably not a professional camera. But can you take professional pictures with it anyway?

  1. Definitely yes.

First you have to learn how to get good digital pictures. Start with a couple of Book at Amazon and then move on to taking a couple of classes or short seminars.

Then you need some good equipment. Any camera with nearly 10 megapixels and Zeiss lenses would be excellent. Set the camera to high resolution settings and prectice a lot.

All of the above are fairly easy to achieve.

    Good luck.

  2. For a start 'professional' pictures are not necessarily technically amazing, they just are pictures that have sold. All press pictures are digital these days, most taken with a DSLR camera, not a digital compact like yours. Howerver, many pictures that have been taken with a compact have sold so can be classed as 'professional'.

Don't think of the camera as what takes the picture, is is just a tool that records thescene that you have selected. If you have a good eye for a picture, and your focus, composition and exposure is spot on, the picture will be as goos as what most people can do with a DSLR.

YOU make the pic not the camera.

Learn the basics of photography, such as exposure and composition. The joy of digital is that you can experiment and just delete the bad pics straight away.

There no reason why you cannot take amazing pics with that camera, or any other.
