Can you take the Olympus SP-560 UZ camera underwater?

i was looking up on different cameras, if i bought this one can you take it underwater to take photos?

Hey! I agree with the comment before me. It isn't water proof you would need to get a casing. Here is a great place for the best under water cameras.

No, that camera is not waterproof. You would need to get a waterproof case for it.

EDIT: In response to your additional information, those underwater modes are for if you have it in a case. Since the lighting is different underwater it has modes to take the best pictures possible down there.

2nd EDIT: Here's a quote from the list of features: "Underwater shooting up to water pressure equivalent of 40m possible in combination with optional underwater case PT-037". That case is $280US on Amazon.
