Is it possible to take the non custodial parent off child support? My son is ten and the father is trying to come into his life but my son doesn't want anything to do with him. He's starting to threatened me that he has rights about getting him every other weekend because he pays money.

  1. Once its reported to the state, you can't take them off. I know for sure cuz I have plenty of friends that have tried to get off that child support.

  2. Visitation rights should be specifically addressed in your Divorce Decree.  If not, you need to get an attorney or go to your state's Dept of Health and Human Services, Child Support Division.

  3. what do they papers say? the non-custodial parent usually has visiting rights (sometimes supervised)

  4. Visitation should be spelled out in your divorce decree. What's in the decree, is what he has rights to - no more.

  5. It has nothing to do with money. He has the right to see him.
