  1. Flora this will work with most seeds unless the seeds  come from hybrids.

  2. You'll want to wait for the flowers aka seed heads to dry up on the stem. Keep a close eye on them. When they are dry, cut carefully and cover with a paper bag. hang them upside down inside the paper bag and wait. They will drop the seeds into the bag. You can shake the bag gently to help them along, too.

  3. The seeds will sprout only if the seeds were able to mature in the pods/seed hulls long enough.  If they are removed from the plant while immature, they will just rot.

Also, if the plant is a hybrid then the seeds either won't germinate or they will produce something you weren't expecting: a gardening experiment gone wrong and you are stuck with Plantzilla.

  4. yeah i used to do it all the time when i was into gardening:)

also you might can root some plants which is like breakin a limb off of a plant(preferably a nice size one like a tree, shrub, bush,or even large bushy flowers) and then stick it in potting soil and fertilizer, sometimes getting rooting harmone is also helpful.just follow the directions on the back of it if you choose to do so:)

    hope i helped(:
