Can you take the train from San Diego, CA to Portland, ME?

I tried to map it with Amtrack but it keeps saying it not possible, yet the map of where they go clearly shows it's possible. HELP!!!!!

You should be able to...try typing in SAN for departure from San Diego, and arrival PDX for portland, OR...it should go from San Diego to Los Angeles, than from LA to Portland...almost a 33 hour ride...better off booking a flight for 300 =] Have a nice trip!
