You can take your blog as anything you want it to be...thats the point its your blog

Of course, after all your are filling it up. I mean come on, in a traditional diary you write with a pen/pencil and keep i secret, however with a blog you are showing/exchanging your thoughts and daily life history :P

The second answerer points out an important distinction between the two---diaries are private, blogs are public.  You might want to consider that very large difference when you are deciding whether to include something from your diary in your blog.  Everyone has things that are best kept to themselves, ya know?
