  1. No - rental companies would not rent to or allow an unlicensed driver to operate their vehicle.  Therefore, you would be operating the vehicle illegally.....not a good way to try and show yourself capable enough to be behind the wheel of a car.

  2. as long as you have proof of insurance and a licensed driver with you, it doesn't matter whose car you take. i used my grandparents' car cuz it was little and easier to parallel park. :)

  3. NO you cannot.  The issue is not whether or not you can legally drive during a driving test, but whether the rental company would allow a NON LICENSED driver to operate their motor vehicle.  Since only a licensed driver can rent a car and any non-licensed driver would be excluded from the rental contract, you technically could not drive the vehicle.  Not because you would break a law, but because in the event of an accident it would not be covered by your insurance.

  4. You can take the test in any car that is road worthy and that you have legal access to. So a rental, reletive's, friends, etc, as long as the car is mechanicaly sound/safe & legal (i.e. registration, insurance, etc) it can be used.

Did you read the first link I provided, you know the one from the OFFICIAL Callifornia State DMV website that says you can use a rental car for your driver's test?

No you cannot use a rental for a driving test.

A person is only allowed to rent a car & drive it if they are 21 and a have their driver's license.  So they won't let you drive it because it is illegal.

I don't know where you live...but I know for a fact it applies in my state.

  6. yeah

  7. i don't know why you wouldn't be able to

  8. Yes, if the car is rented by someone who has a license and they are there to allow you to use the car.  They should also have the rental agreement with them.  Normally the inspectors don't check, but it's best to be ready just in case.

  9. YES you can

  10. depends, if you are covered under the rentals insurance (ussually you aren't) then it won't be a problem. If you are not covered under the insurance then you're driving a car without valid insurance which is illegal. Most car rental companies will only cover declared drivers, they must be over 25 and already have a license
