  1. No you can talk on an airplane phone though

  2. you shouldnt

the electromagnet signals that the phone gives off is bad for the plane

  3. not while u r in the air

it's because there is a potential risk that your mobile phone will intefear with the radio signals that the plane recieves

  4. No.

Cell phones must be off for the duration of the flight, including taxiing on the ground at the airport.

  5. NO signal up there.  I don"t believe they will allow you to turn it on.

have fun on your PLANE trip.

  6. Yes, but only before the plane leaves the gate && when you land. Not while you are in the air, it messes with the flying/landing gear. They will let you know when you can use it!

A.Cann said you can use it because of a "Light" No thats not true, it will mess with the gear, you can however use laptops && iPods but not a cell phone

  7. You can bring it aboard. It will depend on the airline if you can use it while the airplane is still on the ground. The airline I work for will allow you to use it while the main cabin door (the one you used to get on the airplane) is still open and also after landing and while taxiing to the gate.

In the USA it is illegal to use one while in the air. The flight crew will make announcements when it's allowable to use them or when to turn them off.

There has been debate in Congress lately to allow cell phone usage during flight and it looks like a thumbs down for this activity.

I have been traveling on airlines for years and I remember when I would hear over 100 seat belts click in unison just before arriving at gate. Now a days the noise is over 100 cell phones being booted up in unison.

  8. no because of they need signal and it could interfear with the planes radar and could crash the plane and you dont want that so you can talk before they close the door and as soon as you land! but if you really need your cell go to the settings and click airplane mode and you wont crash!

  9. All electronic devices must be OFF during take off and landing.  The crew will announce when they can be used.

All cell phones must be in flight mode, or off.  No wireless transmissions of any kind are allowed in flight.  This is a FAA regulation, and Congress is about to make it a law.   http://abcnews.go.com/Travel/Weather/wir...

Short answer:  No, you cannot talk or text on your cell phone on the plane while in flight.

  10. no...

why you would even ask is amazing.......

  11. Cell phone use is permitted while you are sitting at the gate and the door is still open prior to push back and takeoff, then it is again allowed once the plane has landed and it is taxiing into the gate.  The crew will make an announcement at this time to tell you when it is permissible.  There is NO time it is allowed while the plane is in the air.

  12. yes you can

when your are flying on the plane

you should see a light that looks like a seat belt

once that light come on then you can use your electronics

like cell phones, laptops, ipods, etc

    hope i helped

  13. No.

  14. There is no technical reason why you can't use your cell phone, assuming the plane is in range of a cell tower or three.  There is very little chance of any sort of interference with any of the aircraft electronics, which are hardened against such interference under RTCA DO-160 part 20 and 21.

That being said, your cell phone is not a licensed airborne transmitter, and when you use it, you would be violating FCC (not FAA) rules.  The plane is considered "airborne" the moment the doors are closed under FAA guidelines, although a lot of Airlines have relaxed the rules after touchdown at the destination airport.

The radio phone in the back of the seat?  I've always been afraid to use them because it's probably dollars per minute. ...

  15. only when u land and it varys on each airline

  16. when u land yes, but not while you are in the air. u will not get a signal up there anyways!

  17. ofcourse, if u want to crash lol..

id like to know about calling in the air though to

  18. before the plane takes off yes

    but other than that

    no

i know what your talking about when u say that phone thing

i dont remember how much it costs when we flew

    but it is fairly expensive

i think you cn only pay with credit too
