i really dont like to tan in a chair, i get hot and impatient, so i always am swimming. also last year my friend told me the best day to tan on is when it is cloudy because the clouds block out the bad rays and only leave the good "tanning" rays. im sure that statement is probally wrong but some input on this would be much appreciated. also please dont just tell me tanning is bad and im going to get skin cancer, thank you for being concerned and everything but i just want to know good ways to tan:)

  1. ok; to tan u have to go on a hot sunny day and just lay out. BUT alllllwayyysss always put on sunscreen! dont worry, the only way to get a tan not a burn is with sunscreen. if u dont put sunscreen first u will be burned. make sure 2 flip sides 2:)

  2. simply be outside

    and stay happy

good moods make the colour pigments in your skin rise so they are easily reached by the sun's rays

  3. You can tan while playing in the pool, because they rays will still hit you, and this is the best way because you are not limiting it just to your stomach or back. The best time is from 11-2 because the sun rays are warmest, but this doesn't mean you won't tan from 8am to 5pm. ON a cloudy day sun rays can still escape through the clouds, but you will not tan as effectively. Make sure you apply sunscreen before doing any of this to prevent yourself from burning, which is a very painful process lasting from 3 days to even 2 weeks.

  4. Lay on a floating device while in the pool. The best time to lay out is 9am-2pm. Thats when the sun is at its hottest. You can get rays on a cloudy day but they're not as powerful.

  5. OK SO SWIMMING ACTUALLY WILL GET U TAN FASTER CAUSE THE SUN'S (sry for the caps) rays will reflect off the water. also if u are scared of getting skin cancer there is a new suntain lotion that blocks out the uv rays but (skin cancer causing ones) but leaves the "tanning rays" so it is a safer way to tan. and it lasts longer. i definatley wouldn't advise tanning when it is cloudy.....i don't really see the point of that. ya and if ur in the water then u are moving around so the sun will tan all areas of ur body, you don't have to worry about turning over half way through.
