Can you tan when there is downcast?

I was just wondering if it was really cloudy in the sky if it would still be possible to get a tan if you laid outside.

I don't know what you mean by 'downcast'.  I assume you mean overcast.  If it is overcast you can still be burned because even though the sun's heat and light are being blocked the radiation still gets through.

yes thats how ppl get burned they dont think its synny so they dont put enough sunlotion on and they get fried,  you may not get a great tan but ull get some as long as u get tan easily but if u hav fair skin it may be a lilk harder hope i helped!
