  1. What type of early childhood degree do you have? Do you have a BA in early childhood? What about certificates? Most States require a teaching certificate as well as an endorsement in whichever grade or content level you wish to teach. For example, I have my BA in Ed., a certificate to teach K-6 and an endorsement that makes me Highly Qualified to teach Pre-K-3rd grade.  Most States are looking for teachers that are "Highly Qualified" how that is defined State to State may differ.

  2. yes im pretty sure

  3. i always thought it was for pre-school...

  4. It depends on the state's certification policy. Some states certify people for pre-K through 4th or 5th. Others separate early childhood. But many states will also allow you to add on additional certification by just taking a test once you've got one certification.

  5. You must have a Bachelors in early childhood in most states  to teach elementary school age children.

  6. In the state of KY you can teach preschool and kindergarten not any other grade :)

  7. I think you can teach kinder at a private school. You can also be a teachers asst at a public school and while your there you can pursue your degree. Good luck.

  8. Early childhood degrees go from kindergarten to third grade, to the best of my knowledge.

  9. Early Childhood Education allows you to teach preschoolers. You need a B.A. to teach kindergarten.
