Can you tell a lot about someone by their pictures?

Can you tell a lot about someone's personality, life, financial status,etc from their pics? My friend who's an artist said she can tell a lot about people by analyzing their myspace/facebook pics. If so do you agree? And how can you, please give examples?

Sometimes its what we call aura in their pictures, your friend has this extra sensory thing.

No... not us non-artists.. we cannot judge a book by it's cover either.. even a criminal.. if it was that easy to see if someone is evil.. the police would have an easy job.. some criminals look like babes.. and some look mean... but one cannot arrest a person by what he or she looks like.. and a good thing too, and no you cannot judge a  persons character..maybe you can guess from looking at the picture if you have a vivid mind.. if that person was happy and you can make a guess.. imagine what his or her life might be like but only for fun.. don't ever judge from a photo or a picture..  that only shows you what's on the outside and maybe it can show sadness or happiness but a lot depends on a painter if it's a painting..the way how he wanted to depict that person. ... so a lot is due to the artists talent also.. if you look at a picture and from a photo.. you can also only guess and that is a dangerous way to make a character anayisis i would recommend to not be prejudiced by what you merely see on the outside

maybe personality , by their expressions and body language , but i cant see how pics can help u figure out their life and financial situation
