  1. it depends on the type of bird there are diffrent ways of knowing this from each bird

  2. Yes, you just ask him or her

  3. If you find dirty feathers in your yard, chances are there are male birds about.  If you hear a lot of chatter and singing, chances are there are females about.

  4. depends on the type of bird.

Like doves boys and girls have different colored feet.

  5. yeah just by looking at the underside...

Female: can only see the a**s

Male: can see the a**s and can see a slit where the testicles come out

Or the colours and size of tail.....

  6. many breeds have physical charistics to help tell girl from boy like colors, patterns, and feathers. but if they look alike than it can be hard and in some cases you will need to do a dna test (its pain less) you can go to a vet or get an at home test

  7. well it depends on the kind of bird add that on aditial details but for parokets its the color of the litle skin on top of there beak its either pink(girl) or blueish purple(guy).

  8. it really depends on what species of bird it is. is it a simple finch or a red and blue macaw? some you even have to take to the vet to have them sexed but a lot of them you just search on google.com. type in= how can i tell a male from female (then type at the end of the sentence the type of bird you want)

  9. You actually cant tell if the bird is a boy or a girl. I have a cockatieal. It was a hand raised baby. We asked the breeder that we got the bird from if it was a boy or a girl. He ran a blood test and it was a boy. If you got your bird from a breeder, ask about it. If you got it from a pet store, you could ask one of the employes for help looking for a breeder.

  10. Usually the birds have different colored feathers. So you would have to look in a book depending on the bird that you want to know about.

  11. well idk. haha. but if the bird is nesting then its a gurl. BUT wut kind of bird r u talking about?

  12. if u know its not a girl den u can definately say it a guy

  13. It depends on what type of bird. A lot of times it's just observation of what coloring the bird has and its behaviors. If you tell us what type of bird, it can help. For example, a cockatiel that is male typically has brighter orange cheeks and is a lot noisier.

  14. females typically have duller colors

  15. I know with some species the male or female specifically does the nesting.

  16. budgie girl-brown i have a girl on my hand right now lol

    boy budgie- blue

    wat type of bird!!!!!!!!

  17. I think boys have purple beaks and girls are light color... idk.

its the color of their beaks though.

  18. It depends on a lot of factors - I could answer better if you had given more info.

What type of bird is it? Most birds you can't tell. Usually you'd have to get a blood test to see, these cost around 50$. Some birds you can tell by different ways. I'm only sure about cockatiels, but I'm sure there are other reported colors and patterns for determining gender.

Girl cockatiels usually have stripes under their tails while males have yellow faces- this doesn't always work, getting a blood test is the only sure way.

Anyways, apparently when your parakeet is about a year old, their nose will change colors. The skin part above their beak with the nostrils on it will change brown or pink if it's a girl, or blueish if its a boy. Also if its a girl, then when its about one and a half to two years old then it will lay an unfertilzed egg.

or with any bird  go to ur local pet shop and they can easly tell i dont know how they just can

  19. no

  20. Many of them you can.

Male birds are usually more colorful.

In parakeets, the males will have color above the beak, usually blue.  Some birds have color in their feet.  Male hummingbirds have more colorful feathers.  It's the male peacock that has the startlingly beautiful coloration.  The females are actually quite plain.

Nature made the males more colorful in order to attract the females so they could propagate the species.

  21. Some you can and some you can't. What type of bird is it?

  22. yes, by looking at its genitalia.........................seriou... by the songs they sing, the color patterns, size. and if a egg comes out its butt and smacks you dead center in the middle of your head 9 times out of 10 its a female. have fun on the gender bender

  23. It depends what kind of bird... if you tell me what kind i might have a tip or 2...but to be 100 % you'll have to get him tested by vets.....but there's other ways
