look...you can go to any of the earls chain restaurants, or ..in the stephen avenue in downtown there is a good italian like restaurant,..can't recall the name at this moment, but I am sure you will find a good selection...and if you like strolling around, it's a good place look for.

Like Norman said, Peter's Drive-In is somewhat of a landmark, great burgers fries and shakes. If you like Mexican, the Tecate Grill is good but also not much ambiance. The Keg offers a great steak and a nice atmosphere.

Olive Garden is incredible & can barely be found in Canada.

Pizza Hunt is fantasic, but barely open!

For cheap wondrous burger joint, few places anywhere can match Peter's Drive-In. But it really is a drive-in so hope your car has some nice ambience ;-)
