  1. What I know.

    d**n the info is bulging.

        * Chinese sages discovered silk

         * China had feudalism thousands of years before Europe had it

         * The Warring states period lasted for so long because more than 1000 states battled for supremacy in China.

        * The Qin dynasty was founded by the (in my opinion) greatest entrepreneur who ever lived. Lu Pu Wei or Lu Buwei.

       * The first emperor of China was Lu Buwei's son apparently. He survived many assasination attempts and was the first one to try to finish the Great Wall of China.

       * The Han dynasty was founded by a petty warlord (whose name escapes me) but after much killing in China.

      * THe Romance of the Three Kingdoms climaxed at the Battle of Red Bluff.

       * The Sui Dynasty lost power because of its constant taxation of peasants and needless wars in Korea

      * the Tang dynasty was called the Fullness of Tang due to the renaissance that happened in Chinese society because of good policies. (research Tang Dynasty)

      * Yuan Dynasty was actually Mongol and was viewed as foreign all the while it was in power. They left China after the Black Death struck there.

    * The Ming dynasty was able to get money for their treasure fleets due to the fact they sold pastures formerly owned by the Mongols to Chinese peasants. Their treasure fleets spread Chinese influence, but now power or business interests.

    and thts some interesting things I know about Chinese history

  2. I have little knowledge of Ancient China, but I'll share what I know...

    *The Chinese mummified their emperors, like the Ancient Egyptians.

    *The Terra-Cotta Warriors, made entirely of clay, were made by Chinese laborers. They were built for Emperor Qin s**+ Huang in 209 BC. The workers who made them were buried alive.

    *The Xia dynasty was the first to be recorded in Chinese history. Little is recorded of this era.

    *The most famous emperor in China was probably Emeperor Qin s**+ Huang. He unified China, ordered the constuction of the Great Wall of China, and had the Terra-Cotta warriors built for him.

    *China was the richest country in the world in the 1400's. (I know it's not Ancient China, but I'll tell you anyway.)
