  1. London is one of the very best cities in the world. Some people say it is the best city in the world. Excellant shopping, wonderful restaurants, very lively, also some of the best museums and loveliest parks. The people are not very friendly but they are polite and helpful. The British are not known for being warm and friendly, but once they get to know you - you'll be friends for life!

If you are American or Canadian, be prepared for how expensive London is. You are accustomed to spending $8 or $10 for lunch? ... Well, the price is double over there! The dollar is very weak right now and the pound sterling is strong. Everything will seem like the price is double. A 10 minute taxi ride costs $12 ... admission to an attraction like Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum is like $20 ...  clothes? three times the price you find in America. Just bring a LOT of money and have agood time!

  2. Oh what ever to the people above. London is like any other city; has its good and bad its not excellent ere. Central London, West End shopping and tourist centre & East End financial center are the excellent parts of London but...... no one lives there only the stinking rich and I mean very rich. You will probably live in inner london like me which is the worst parts of London or the outer London, the suburbs which are more humble but still not perfect.

Transport is good we have buses trains london undeground

32 boroughs every one has its own center which has many shops and offices so you will never really find a ghost town.

London is not that bad in crime but has a very high level of theft even though we have the most cameras than any other city in the world, i wonder why?

Yeah it is busy in the center and inner parts but it gradually get less busy the further out but never empty.

People here mind they own you could streak and people will ignore you maybe only stare. We not a friendly like we will start a random convo with strangers everyone is going and doing something.

Theres many schools every borough has numerous schools public or private or catholic even Jewish ones.

Every borough has a borough college and there are also some with more than one. So Education is plenty but I would not say is the best.

Health care is free NHS we pay them through are taxes

London is a big place its expensive and varies in every borough, each borough has its own local governments etc who run them differently so I cant talk for the whole of London.

I live on the Isle of Dogs in the borough of Tower Hamlets one of the most deprived boroughs but most regenerated things are getting better Lifes not fun but it aint bad.

  3. London's great, although remember that it's trade is aimed alot at tourists, so prices are really high, the further out of the centre you travel the cheaper! Try visiting some of the Greater London towns (like zones 3,4,5) you can find some interesting places. The centre is very busy, but I've always found it friendly. The shopping in the centre is good in places like Covent Garden and Markets but most of the shops elsewhere are very touristy, full of postcards, union jack stuff and royal family stuff (does anyone actually want any of that?!)Oh, go to Covent Garden and along Embankment, there are usually street performers.

I definitely recommend London, but I am slightly biased since I live here! Hope you enjoy it!

  4. Londom is really great. There are clothes and fashhion is krazy
