Can you tell me about japan?

i admired japan and its culture a long time and was thinking about going there to visit or be a student transfer and become guest to a host family there but i wanted to know a little bit more before i go. so i was wondering if you could share your experiences or if you live there you can tell me more about it. i would appreciate it and you could tell me anything bad or good it'll be really helpful ^_^
