hi, i also go from anna nagar to sholinganallur. it depends on the time you travel. if you start from anna nagar before 8am or after 8pm,  you can reach in 1 hour. otherwise it will take 1.5 hours to 2 hours.

avoid kathipara junction at all costs - you will have to spend atleast 30 minutes there itself... your cab driver will take care of it, so dont worry :-)

It will take one to one and half hour depending on the traffic. Traffic will be congested on peak times but never it gets block. That was good part in Chennai Traffic. Cheers...
