Can you tell me how to do molarity.?

I learned how to do this last year but i don't remember and i can not find anything in my book about it.

M= mol/L

Molarity is no. of moles of a substance dissolve per liter of a solution. For this you need to know molar mass of the substance. for instance NaOH has molar mass 40

So if you dissolve 40 g of NaOH in water to make the solution one liter , it becomes I molar solution
