  1. There has been no licence required since 2006, but only FM is allowed. AM is very illegal, and can interfere with emergency services (particularly ambulances).

I doubt many with a pc will use it. You can have an online conference/voice chat with people from all over the world. On a FM CB you can only reach around 10 miles, or less on a mobile unit. Though I did enjoy having one in my van.

The midlands seems to be a hotspot for homebasers, along with east Kent.

  2. unless your a truck driver i think you will pretty much be speaking to yourself

  3. I have noticed a few cars with a 'twig' on again

at my ' 20 ' and a microphone on the dash, go for it my

    friend, 10-4. Now I'm going 10-7. Bye.

  4. Depends where you are,

where i live it did fade away, been on the thing years since i was like knee high.

Just the old timers on it and then we get the truckers passing threw,

since it died off i find it better i never use the 19 or 14 just sit on my own channel and if anyone wants me they know where i am.

    regards x kitti x
