Ok. I am 5'6". The highest point I can reach is 8'4". Is that really short for my height? Do you think I will ever be able to touch the rim? I don't know if I will but people have told me that it is possible. Also, what are the chances that I grow to 6'0" or over? I'm 15 btw.

Thanks.

  1. Well you can't tell the chances whether you grow or not. All you need to do is get your vertical higher then you'll be slamming the ball in no time. But you will most likely grow more since you are still young. For your vertical remember to do squats and do ankle raises with dumbells. The more weight, the better. You have a good vertical but it can get better.

  2. Okay, you are not THAT short, but you are on the small side.

I don't think you will end up 6,0, but some people grow late.

Since you are shorter than most pg's your age you need to keep working on your ball handling, shooting, and quickness.

    Good luck!!!!!!

  3. I'm 6'5, long, and can barely dunk.

A guy at my gym is 40, white, 5'7 and has short arms and does 360's and alley-oops, plus can hit fifteen three's in a row. I swear to God. I've seen him do it.

Keep working out. Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was your leg strength. You'll be able to dunk if you're dedicated enough.

    Good luck and keep hooping.

  4. Well, I don't mean to be rude here. But i just turned 14 im 5' 9" and i can touch rim and so can about half the kids on my eigth grade team. So you kinda need to work on that. Especially with everyone getting faster and stronger.

work on your calf and leg muscles that will help you jump. A dunk hoop so that you can just barely dunk it would help your jumping ability.

Your height depends on how tall your parents are and if you've started like really growing.
