There are some cancer research scientists building tiny robots that seek out cancer cells and stick to them. Once you get an accumulation of these tiny metal robots around the tumor, you zap them with certain EM frequencies that only heat up the metal balls, nothing else. So it burns and kills the cancer near the tiny metal robots leaving the rest of the body undamaged.
