You didn't specify your question...but I usually read all the chapters I need, then I make notes from what I read, and read the notes couple times before the class/exam. Simple.

I feel that hands-on learning is the best type of education.  It is much easier to understand concepts when you actually see how they are applied in an occupational setting.

put flavour on a chicken,

make a roasted leg of lamb...

and then try flash cards!

well everyone learns different. i loved this teacher ihad back in junior high. he made history fun. jokes. telling it to your students as if it was a big deal. interactive. making it sound like you and the teacher are on the same level.

Hands - On learning is the best for most students.  Using Visual Aids help a lot also.  There are more visual learners that auditory.

do you want to learn, if yes you will, but, and this is very important, if you do not want to learn, then no matter how you try, you wont learn, now thats easy,,,,but here comes the tricky bit, what if you only want to learn a  bit to see if you like it, well here the answer is you only pay a deposit and have 30 mins then if you like it go for the whole course,,,,

i go to being hit over the head lessons with a huge hammer sunday mornings and i pay 20 pounds a lesson, it works

It all depend what you want to learn, Say you want to learn Psychology,get a book that is used in the University, and start reading the first chapter, When you are reading your first paragraph  make a lot questions about it and answer the questions that you made,and continue all the way through the book, you will find that you know all what the book is all about and the opinion ant ideas of the author
