1. we left home early and walked to the fairgrounds.

2. the corn and wheat crops appear to be good, but they must have plenty of rain.

3. "ah!" cried the villain of the melodrama. "you will be ruined unless you do as you are told."

4."be careful!" shouted the driver of the automobile. "either stay on your side or get off the road!"
