I can't tell the difference between them besides the price.

One has UV12AS, and the other has 385nm. But I know nothing about UV LED Lights so I don't know what that means.

Can someone explain it to me? Also - are there any other differences between the lights?

  1. The VU12AS seems to be a model number.  Ultra-Violet Flashlight 385nm also seems to be a model number.  It's not possible to be sure of any difference between the two flashlights because the description of the one light, the UV12AS, doesn't include the wavelength of the UV light emited.  The 385 nm should be the wavelength of the UV light emitted by the one flashlight.  This is very close to visible violet light.  UV has a wavelength of 90 to 400 nonometers.  Many flashlight used for security purposes have a wavelength of 380 to 390 nm.

Often a company will use a "stock" or generic description of something.  It looks like that is what they did in this case, even a "stock" photo as both light seem identical in the pictures.

With out the critical information of the wavelength of light from the one flashlight you just can't tell.

The pricing of these lights seems to be very good.  Check the link below for a specialized shop pricing.
