Yes, the former person said it was a picture. Let me make this more clear. This is actually a GRAPHIC! This means that someone drew this with some kind of graphic program such as Illustrator or even in Photoshop.

When it comes to actual fonts that can be generated in a text file (like a letter to someone in Word), this is what you really want to have for evaluation as to the actual FONT used. Now, most fonts are in a TrueType format or in some other proprietary form used by various font houses.

If you ever do get a font in a picture (or you make a picture from a letter or some text that you have received through scanning or a very good photograph), you can go to the website "Fonts.com." From their web site, in your letter, they will let you send them a picture of the TYPE that you got from an email or even from a brochure, poster, and so on. They usually come up with the actual font and, if they are sellers of it (and they have practically ALL of them that are out there), they will sell you various typefaces of that particular font (usually about $30-45US each for the lesser-known).
