What happens in the showers in the real world is that people find nudity awkward so they all just keep to themselves and get it over with. The only way that I know any different is at the camp I go to we are all guy that have to share 16 showers with 140 people in an hour so we are all used to seeing each other nude since we are all in a cabin together with about 14 other guys so we've all seen everyone's junk and we have conversations.

Well I'm assuming you're referring to communal showers, so I'll give you the quick run down on that scene. In my school, a vast majority of the male student body proceeds to shower after gym class, and in addition I'm on the track team, and in there almost all the guys shower as well. If you're showering at a gym, or after gym class it's going to be very casual, you'll strip and join the shower with the other guys, just keep your eyes above the other guys waists if you're looking at them, wash yourself thoroughly and get out. No guy should be staring at the nether-regions, but don't be shocked by glancing. Everyone is nervous when they first get into the shower, no one is normal being naked at first in front of people, society teaches against. Though, in time you'll get entirely comfortable with it, it will be like hanging out with these people if they were fully clothed. Most guys won't admit this, but a vast majority of guys have eyes that wander south, it's curiosity so don't be freaked out and worry about someone being a pervert. Anyways, if you're on a sports team, there's going to be a bit of horsing around, anything from "slip 'n sliding" across the shower floors, "5 starring", towel whipping, and more. So, just relax and go with the flow, in time it will be as natural as breathing air.
