make sure you have a cover letter addressed to the program director of the station (if you don't know his name, call the staion's business office and get it); as well as a concise up-to-date resume...put these in a nice, clean folder with yer name and phone number on the tab...

make sure yer demo (or 'aircheck') is edited so as not to run over 3 minutes long...focus on yer breaks more than the music...

if you have production experience (i.e. commercials); include a few of those as well...

finally...professionally label yer demo with yer name and phone number ans submit it to the staion (either by mail or in person at the business office)...
