Can you tell me what the name of this strange/beautiful wildflower is (Pic Included)?

So, i live in texas and my friend and i saw this large purple flower. We thought it looked kinda exotic, and since I hope to be a botanist one day I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I want to know what the name is of the large purple center flower so I could do a little research on it. Thanks so much!!!

my aunt has them growing in her back yard (ohio!)

she called them weeds.

I guess the answer above me is right, they're passion flowers.

it looks like the ones that are along fenses in texas. they are not wild flowers that i think. i sure dont' know the name but i think they are fense climbers.
