Well I'm only 13 and this is only the second poem I've been able to write. So please give me your thoughs =]

Like the Seasons

Here I sit

Waiting, wanting for you to come back.

Then back you return

like a warm spring,

like a bird chirping in my ear,

wanting to sing

and I sit eagerly wanting to hear

Here we are, You and I,

and again you made me believe,

we'd be together till the day we die

But soon enough the blizzards of winter blast,

then again you leave,

right when I thought I had you at last

Then again I wait

why must you leave?

Are you gone forever?

You know how much I want us to be together.

Time and time again you've told me you need me

So all winter long I wait hurting, aching, and slowly dieing inside.

Eventually I start to forget,

keeping my head up high and

eyes open wide

In the spring you return again

leaving me wanting,

and believing in you once more

Again the cycle repeats,

just like the seasons

You may hurt me often

But

  1. I like it. It's very relatable and I like how it's divided into different stanzas. Each one brings something new.
