  1. I don't really have a scedule.  I just know what I have to do for the day and then I do it in whatever order I feel like.

  2. It all depends on the mood I'm in or if there are any other things that need to get done. Sometimes my son does not feel like writing so we do a lot of math, the vice verse the next day. But usually we start at 10am and go on till about 4pm with a few breaks in between. That's the beauty of homeschooling, you dont have to follow a schedule as long as the work gets done.

  3. Ok, well, Im in a kind of home school called AZVA, arizona virtual academy, they also have other schools in diff states like, CAVA (cali virtual academy) and liek bunch more, its part of K12, you can go to their website to find out more, www.k12.com anywys, they give you all the stuff u need.... for free,t hey even supply you with a comp Anyways, here's my schedule

First, I check ym email to see if any teachers emailed me, thats the schools main way to communicate

    then i usually do math

    then lang

    then hist

    then my elective (web design)

then spanish since its so easy ^.^

then sci cuz its evil and hard lol, i do it alst cuz thats about the time my mom comes home from work

Anyways, i wouldnt recomend doing homeschool, Ive been doing it since 6th, im in 9th now and, I  get freaked out when i have to speak in front of people and im liek kinda shy but, once ig et to know ppl, then im ok... lol it still freaks me out to read the attendance thing to see whos here for 4H.... its only like 20 ppl and i know most of them O.o anyways, its your choice but, im just saying its not the best choice at least, not for me.... Hope I helped^.-

  4. Varies, but here is our current routine:

Mon-- after breakfast kids work in "skills practice" books for an hour or so, do writing assignments, work on projects & units, read. Lunch, free time, then library for chess club & to pick up books & play for a couple of hours w/friends, if it's nice out go to the park. Pick up dad, go home, dinner, karate class.

Tues-- skills practice, writing & reading & then projects, errands, my big house cleaning day/laundry-- usually go outside to play in the afternoon or if there is time I will take them to the park or they'll go over a friend's house or a friend will visit,or we'll meet up at Chuck E. Cheese or something.

Wed-- Often go out on field trips to museums, gardens, photography excursions, nature hikes, etc. If we don't, or if we don't get out early, they do skills practice or work on projects. Park day w/homeschool group around lunch & hang out 2 or 3 hrs & play. Karate class in evening.

Thurs-- Co-op day, 9:30 AM to 2 PM, each take 3 classes. Often a group of us go to the park or some indoor playground for a couple of hours. Home, fast dinner, bring daughter to church for chior practice 7-9, the boys play w/the other kids that show up in the classroom.

Fri-- alternate every other week: skills practice & lego club at the library, or field trips/independent work at home.

Sat-- skills practice, work on projects/units, read, 1 sat a month is Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments, 1 Sat per month is wood workshop. Their dad is off so we'll usually have family outtings, or meet up w/friends.

Sun-- church/Sunday School, usually stay late and play w/other kids (I'm on committees & teach a Sunday school class, so we're there for a good 3 or 4 hrs). Usually go to friends houses, or friends come over after church & hang out till about 6 or 7.  One Sunday a month the library has these big 2-hr things w/stories & crafts & snacks & puppet shows revolving around a theme, we try to catch those.

  5. Well the great thing about homeschooling is that you can start whenever and do it wherever. But what I usally do is evey subject everyday (except weekends of course). And just work at your own pace.

  6. We get up at 7 or 8 most days. (We did not get up until after 9 today.) We do some chores, eat breakfast, and talk about the day we have planned. Then we go to our handy dandy schedule and see what is next. I like to have a schedule set about a week in advance. I like to get done as early as possible, because when the kids get off the bus, my daughter likes to go play. We don't cover each subject everyday, but rather have a focus for the day. Reading, spelling, grammar and handwriting go together. While math gets a day to itself. We like to have a mini weekend in the middle of the week. That is normally Tuesday and half of Wednesday. This allows us to visit, run errands, etc. Monday, Thursday and Friday are very full days. We have evening classes outside the house on Monday and Tuesday nights. Most of this schedule is flexible. This week we're focusing on American history, all week. Today is a snow day for public school, so my daughter had a friend spend the night. All bets are off for schedules on a day like today. The girls are playing like we are in an ice age. They just got back from wandering the icy cold neighborhood and they feel inspired. This means that they are pretending there is no electricity. (The power was out earlier.) They are reading our history books by lantern light. In their imaginations, they are pretending to re-discover this information for the first time. It is very exciting. I would join them, but my puny adult imagination might ruin the game. I feel that if I were to try to enforce a schedule or any structure today, I’d kill the spirit of discovery. On other, less inspired days, a schedule is helpful. I guess that is a very round the bend way of saying, “It depends”.

EDIT: My daughter's friend is a grade above her and is reveling in the role of teacher. I can't help spying on them. They are so cool.

  7. Don't know never had it.

  8. For us, we all know what we have to complete. First, we do our independent work, then group work and the older 2 kids tutor the younger kids. Then, on certain days of the week, we have a special activity for the day such as cooking day, tea (milk and cookie) day, movie day, arts and craft day, etc.
