Can you tell me why Oussama Mellouli was not disqualified after beating Grant Hackett in the 1500m final?

On TV it looked like he got out of the water before all the competitiors had finished the race. I though this meant you got disqualified!

Surely that didn't happen.  Australia would have protested if that was the case. No, he won fair and square.

No, he stayed in the water until everyone was finished. We were watching it. My husband (who is Tunisian and a fan) was quite excited since this is the first gold medal for Tunisia in about 40 years. Grant Hackett did a great job, he was just a little behind Mellouli.

He stayed in the water until everyone finished. It did look like he got out a little earlier though...

Mellouli didn't beat Grant Hackett's World Record or Olympic Record, Grant Hackett should be thankful for that.

no that didn,t happen he win the race but,no one can believe that he win this race and grant hacket the second .
