I am curious to know what kind of talent and progress has been created and made out there: give me your starting times and your PRs! In ninth grade my PRs were:

100 meters: 12.0

200 meters: 24.8

400 meters: 54.5

Now my PRs are:

100 meters: 11.0

200 meters: 21.8

400 meters: 48.3

  1. well im still in 8th grade right now but i ran track when i was in 7th and my fastest times were

    100meters 12.4

    200meters 29

    400meters 1minute

    1600meters 5:16

right now im turning 14 in a few months i guess thats good for my age or somtin

  2. I was a freshman this year.  My prs were

800 meters: 2:20 (Ran it twice, only to fill in for a teammate who had pneumonia.  I HATE the 800)

1600: 4:55  (Favorite race.  There were a few weeks when I didn't/ couldn't run the mile, so after my pr being like 5:10, I came back and ran a 4:55 mile.  I knew it wasn't a one time thing either because I ran 4:59 a week later in hot and humid conditions.)

3200:  10:53 (Not as much a fan of 3200 either.  Only ran it like every other meet, and most of the time between 11:10 - 11:20.  But then there was a 4 week period when I didn't run it at all, improved so much in the longer distances, and I could have done so much better than 10:53 but like I said, I do not like the 3200).

I really do hate making excuses, but these are my opinions on my performance(s).

  3. Wow. that's a great improvement on your PRs.

    Mine:

Cross Country: [my first year of any sport, ever]

    3k: 17:12

    2 miles: 17:28

    3 miles: 26:51

    5k: 28:31

Track: [right after my first year of cross country]

800: 3:05 [i can run it faster though]

    1600 meters: 6:57 [i was so happy that i finally broke 7]

    2 miles: 15:28

Once xc starts again, i'm hoping my first race to be 25 or sub.
