I had a pelvic exam the other day and the doctor said that by the look of my cervix (pointing up) that I am very likely pregnant, but it was too early for hpt and I wont get my blood test results for another two days, has anyone had any experience with this? I'm dying to know!

  1. I didnt have a pelvic exam till after I had a positive pregnancy test, but my doctor conformed it with out having to take a pregnancy test with a pelvic exam.

  2. I am pretty sure that a Dr. can tell from a pelvic exam.

I had to get one to make sure I wasn't pregnant before I started my Depo birth control shot.

  3. yes a doctor can do a physical pregnancy test during a pelvic, when you are pregnant your cervix turns blue,

cervix pointing up is a sign of a tipped uterus, but not pregnancy

both blood tests and HPT test for the same amount of Hcg, and both are only accurate as soon as the first day you miss your period.

physical pregnancy tests would show positive later (8-10 weeks)

  4. BE PATIENT CUZ THEN UR GOING TO FEEL WORST IF U GET A BFT SO RELAX AND WAIT=)
