Can you tell what movie this is?

There was one movie that we watched in our social studies class and I basically don't remmber many details, but if you've seen this movie you might remember the title but I know it has to do something with early america. The only scene I remember is where a general (or someone) with a moustache, is standing in front of many prisoners and there is one prisoner that can shoot pretty well and as he is reloading that general guy is shouting faster faster faster. If you remember anything like this, please tell me.

Pretty sure it's Glory...There's also a scene I remember where they're learning to stab those bags with the bayonets...Good movie.

yup, that sounds like "glory". the black soldier is supposidly the best shooter, but the general pulls out his six shooter and shoots in the air next to him to prove a point. he couldnt reload the rifle under pressure. they werent prisoners, they were buffalo soldiers but they hadnt got their uniforms yet.
