Can you tell when someone has been driving your car?

My parents let me drive the car to a friends house where I was supposed to stay, but I ended up driving around a bit with some friends. Is there a way they can tell this in just one night? Will they be able to find out easily? Keep in mind I also drive it twenty minutes to and from work every day so that can factor in and I also drove it about an hour today with them knowing.

Why can't you just tell them? I think not telling them will only makes things worse.

If I did something like that (and I have), I would find it easier just to tell them the truth. No BS, no hiding, no guilt...

If you're honest with them, they'll probably go easy on you.

if your parents took down the odometer reading than yes they can tell even if they know the distance to your work. my parents would do that when i first started driving because they payed the gas and didnt like me driving around with freinds until i was more expirenced. I dont have to worry about that anymore cause im in my 20's lol

the only way they will know if they remembered how many miles it had before you took it

They can always check the odometer and figure out how many miles you drove, if they knew how much was on it to begin with.  You also need to watch out for "spies".  My parents always knew what we were up to because of their friends that would see us out.  How many miles did you put on the car, anyway?
