If you can that means you should start potty training them.

  1. Hi Vomit , Yuck,

Put your baby to pee when first waking up in the morning or after a nap, (most people will naturally need to use the bathroom after waking).

When you have been in one position and then suddenly change position, you tend to notice that you need to use the bathroom, same with babies, so if you've been holding the baby on your lap for a while, get up with the intention of making a quick stop at the toilet first!  How often do you need to find the rest area!  It's a good idea to help tiny bladders by starting and ending a car ride with a trip to the bathroom, (keep a container with tight fitting lid in the car too).

After or even during nursing, (everyone feels the need to use the bathroom after a good meal).

Look for squirming or facial expressions; grimaces, grunting, pushing (even just for pee!), unexplained crying.  As your child grows and you become more in-tune with the whole EC process, you will begin to recognize your child's signs and even get a "sixth sense" or intuition that a pee is about to come, even if no sign is given

    Good Luck .

  2. My daughter is 3 months. I can't tell when she's ready to pee, but I sure can tell when she needs to p**p. She grunts, scrunches up her arm and legs, gets all red in the face, sticks out her tongue, and when she really starts pushing, it's with her whole body (she pushes her arms and legs in all directions)... it's actually pretty fun to watch. :)

  3. If that were true then that would mean I should have started Potty Training from about their second month, lol...I always knew since right before my kids would Pee their eyes would water and right before they would p**p they got a VERY serious look on their face! Watch your baby and see if it is not true.

As far as Potty Training goes though, trying to train a baby before 18 months is kind of a waste of time since they haven't made that Brain/Bladder/Bowel connection before then...until they make that connection, it is just you that is trained. Don't get me wrong there are SOME babies that 'Get It' before 18 months (my daughter being one of them, she potty trained herself at 16 months and never wore a diaper again, even at night, but that is NOT because I started training her...she did it herself because she hated being wet or dirty....that was just HER.  But those children are Rarities...my other 3 were 2 and over when they were finally trained.~~Aloha~~
