We sent our folks to Norway for their 30th wedding anniversary, which was 19 years ago.  They invited my aunt-the-amateur-genealogist to go with them, and they met many relatives.  We still laugh about the name of one of them, which seems SO Scandinavian:  Per Osperslaten  (Per is pronounced like the fruit Pear...  His last name:  first two syllables sound like the "osper" from "prosper", and the last two syllables rhyme with Cotton).
