  1. enid blyton and c.s. lewis books (more so enid blyton > i think they've been rewritten now minus the sexism and racism). and the titles for the mr men and little miss books are quite sexist, but i can't remember what the stories were like :-)

  2. Chess the queen is stronger than the king.

  3. Mystery Date was a game in the 70's.

TV Show - Father Knows Best

  4. "Pinochio"

  5. Hmm. I remember liking I Love Lucy when it was on Nick at Nite in the early 90s. I was... under 10. I remember seeing it as a teenager and commenting on how weird it seemed to me that Lucy was so subservient to Ricky, and my mother didn't see my point.

As a little kid though I didn't really perceive sexism. Maybe Voltron but I barely remember it.

  6. At my primary school, every friday the boys got to go and play cricket. The girls had to stay inside and do maths and it was a sweltering 30something degrees celsius. Oh, they decided to be more fair on us after...... they made us knit. No lies, they forced 5 year old girls to sit indoors during summer and knit, while the boys got to run around and have fun. Yeah, always found that strange, even when i was 5.
