  1. It's a true story because they SAY it is a true story?

More likely a mixture of paraedolia and expectation.

  2. hi deenie, i believe that the faces of belmez, the original ones were right on supernatural.  i believe that maria might have tried to enhance it or call it to herself later on.  she was a psychic, and, her reputation, or, finances might be what spurred her on.  the bones found beneath the kitchen area were there, no doubt.  and it seems the people who belonged to them died tragically.  i have heard evp's from the site, on www.aboutparanormal.com.   these were intelligent energy evp's.  they responded to questions and remarks made by the living.  to listen to them made my skin crawl.  it was horrible to hear.

  3. I think you are right.  Those spirits want their story out and probably want to be identified.

  4. Well, it was a very interesting video to watch.  I think the video said that all this happened in 1971?  If so, I wonder what has happened since then?  With all the technology we have now, I think some teams should go back and visit the site and do more research.

It appears that some very bad things happened there in the past and it could be possible that the spirits of those people are trying to reach out for help or tell a story.  My opinion, I got to throw the BS flag.  I find it hard to think that faces can keep appearing in concrete without the use of tools?  Anyway, makes for a good story!

  5. well i'd say that the house in the video was haunted by many spirit people who were determined to get their stories out.

  6. While I would like to believe this, I think a similar effect could be obtained from dropping a bottle of milk onto the floor.

The lactic acid would colour the concrete - or at least stain it.

Gets my paranormal thumbs down, but 9/10 for tourism.

Check out this account of the face of Dean Liddell - which appeared on the wall of a church in which he had worked, yet had died in 1898.

  7. Wikipedia points to sources establishing forgery.

  8. well, it's obvious to me, but I'd like to see what others have to say. Something tragic happened there, obviously, that so many souls are left. They want to be seen and heard, for people to care. "You can keep covering me up all you want, but I'm still here" is what that's screaming at me.

  9. After watching the video and reading a bit about the Belmez Faces, I think the most plausible explanation is deliberate forgery.  It is not difficult to reproduce similar faces using an oxidizing agent.

  10. Without more information it's hard to tell.Any answer is pure speculation. With so many frauds around it's hard not to suspect one here.I'll keep an open mind and not jump to a conclusion.
