Question:

Can you think of something nice to do for my disabled step-dad's birthday?

He is 64 today and isn't able to do much. He has emphysema. His favorite is chocolate pie, so we will have that, but I don't know what to get for him. He watches a lot of TV, loves crossword puzzles (which we always get for him) and likes candy.

  1. Go to a bookstore and get him one of those big book of crosswords or something like that. my kids got me about 3 or 4 of them. If he goes out, get him a gift cert for a candystore or get him about a pound or two of his fave. (For extra brownie points, get him a good sized plasma or flat screen tv.)


  2. put on a gorgous outfit & some nice perfume & then sit on his lap and wiggle around a little.  it will be the best present he ever got ♥♥♥


  3. How about a great book such as Mitch Albom's "The Five People You Meet in Heaven."  I think this is a MUST read for all people.  TV tends to become a rut of a routine for disabled people.  Can he use a computer?
