Can you think of the season?

Question

I remember my dad told me of this nrl season.

It was the season when the rabbits were at the bottom of the ladder. And then they won lots of games in a row and made it into the Grand Final. Im not sure if they won it or not.

Do you know what year this was?

1965 maybe, not quite sure , they lost to St George in that grand final in a then record crowd at the SCG, not sure if its what ur looking for but it was when the club re-claimed its stronghold on rugby league with the likes of Ron Coote and Eric Simms , they didnt win the grand final til 1967 , i couldnt find any other information , i hope this is what you are looking for
