Were you taught to do things because you are a girl and now you do them habitually without ever pausing to trace where you actually learned it?

  1. No I wasn't socialized, neglected child, don't have a girl identity of any kind - hard to scrape together any identity.

    Sort of socialized self later from women's mags problem pages etc. about how to be a wife and mother, constructed rather a wimpish drudgelike 'perfect' baked scone goddess then got divorced and became feminist.


  2. I know whenever I'm sitting with my legs apart I think to myself that I should shut them because I'm a girl (as my mother used to say) - but it's not as comfy so I don't!
