Can you throw a Hurricane party without the threat of an actual hurricane?

I do live on the GA coast, and I want to throw a great party in July, Hurricane party seems like a good theme so, is it acceptable to throw a Hurricane party minus the actual hurricane, unless of course one pops up...

It is hurricane season( just started here in Fl.)

So, yes is would be OK.

But really, when it comes to a party,

no one really cares what the theme is.

Just keep the food and booze rolling!!
