I am a short guy and love to play volleyball. However, I rarely have the opportunity to play anywhere near the front row and I have always wanted to hit the ball and block. But I think that there could be a solution. I have tried this with one of my teamates when he threw me up and I blocked a hit perfectly! The problem is that I don't know if the is against the rules or not! If you are a volleyball official or someone with great knowledge on the game... PLEASE HELP!

  1. It is not allowed.  It is called an assisted hit.

You are not allowed to assist a player to play a ball.  You can not hold on to a player to reach over the bleachers or under the net.  You can not move a dividing net out of the way so that your team mate may play the ball.

  2. you cannot throw someone.  but i am also short but i have made really good blocks before.  you can do it without being thrown up.

  3. no you cant do that

  4. no you cant throw someone

  5. I do not think you can throw someone to block, but it sounds like a lot of fun!
