I got my very first ticket last month and I already sent them money, it's been cashed and everything. Is there a need to hold on to the ticket or can I pitch it?

  1. Yes

  2. People just keep the tickets for their records other than that there is no need to keep it

  3. It seems to me that there would be no need to keep it. However, if I were you, I would just keep it for the two years it takes for it to clear your record in case some crazy accusation or something stupid comes up.

  4. Throw it out.  And that empty donut box, too.

  5. At least in my state, you can throw it away the minute the cop hands it to you.  Choosing to keep it is solely up to you (to include keeping it for any length of time).

  6. No, it must be posted visibly at the entrance window of your home for 35 days. It may not be posted below 48" or above 80"

  7. play it safe and keep it in a drawer for awhile....you never know..
